I have always loved the outdoors. I fish. I hunt. I believe in conservation. Photography has allowed me to capture and share my love of the outdoors, and the extraordinary things I witness while outdoors.

This sequence of images shows the hunt of a Snowy Egret. I have observed Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Green Herons, and Yellow Crowned Night Herons as they slowly and stealthily stalk the shallows. They are calm and gracious and calculated. The Snowy Egret, however, is active and vibrant! It darts and jumps and flaps and pounces! It is an incredible display and I am blessed to have been in the right place at the right time.

I am as excited to have witnessed this ballet as I am to share it with you!
